I really enjoy this humble throwback to the flash games of yesteryear. It has that old-school edginess reminiscent of icons like Pico and Eddsworld with some snappy dialogue to make it feel both familiar and fresh.

For gameplay improvements, I would like to see a map feature to make exploration easier when the full game comes out. I would also like the option to change the button prompts for gamepad to PlayStation or Nintendo. Maybe allow for twin stick aiming as well if it doesn't seriously break game balance.

I look forward to seeing this lovely project of yours become something amazing.

While I like the overall concept this game has, the slippery movement makes controlling the cat needlessly tedious and annoying. I would greatly appreciate if this game had keyboard/gamepad input.

It's brain teasers like this that I enjoy so much about web gaming. My only real nitpick is not being able to use the enter command on gamepad, but I'm sure that can quickly be addressed.

A very promising teaser for what may be an excellent game. Do you think a level editor would be feasible for the full game? I want to see what kind of platforming levels the community can come up with.

LeviRamirez responds:

A level editor is likely to happen ;)

This game is pretty fun, but it doesn't recognize the right analog stick on my DS4 gamepad. Is this an issue you can quickly fix?

picrossin responds:

Oh interesting, I'll look into it! Thanks for the heads up

A quick, but fun time waster for these long days. I hope to see more content added like an auto-scroll level for added challenge. I would also greatly appreciate full-screen and gamepad support to make the overall experience more arcade-y.

The atmosphere in this game is amazing. Getting to explore the depths of an alien is really compelling thanks to the excellent visual presentation and sound design. I only wish that this game had controller support because my mouse has a wonky right button that makes using the grappling hook difficult at times. I use a DS4, so hopefully this game can support more than just Xbox controllers when updated.

Noisemama responds:

Thanks for the kind words! I'll see if I can get controller support set up. It should be pretty straightforward.

Merry Tankmas and to all a happy new year! May the Tankmas tradition continue next year!

This is a pretty good game considering the circumstances you are developing it under. The only things I would suggest is adding some Christmas-themed music from the audio portal and improving on controller support.

It may not be Newgrounds Rumble 2, but it's still an amazing game in its own right. A proper celebration of Newgrounds culture and history that NG veterans and newcomers alike can enjoy. I look forward to seeing new updates that expand on what this game has to offer.

By the way, I managed to make a list of NG characters that may interest you, especially if they are more obscure than what has been mentioned so far
1. Gail (Phoenotopia + Remake)
2. Encon (Fear Unlimited)
3. Matt (Epic Battle Fantasy)
4. The Penguin (Ripple Dot Zero)
5. Azumi (Azumi and the Vertical Slice)
6. Unlimted Trees (Unitres Dreams)
7. Neon (AdventNEON)
8. Sentry Knight
9. Red Baron
10. Ninjaman
11. Light & Lumi (Radiance Hearts)
12. Project 154 (Thing Thing)
